Department Information
  • Ms. Hoover serves current students in making appointments with the counselors and assists with testing and scholarship information.
  • Current students can request transcripts through their assigned guidance counselor.
  • Graduates needing transcripts need to provide $3.00 (made payable to Canfield High School) to Mrs. Cerimele, Records Secretary, in the Main Office or click here.

Honor System 
All AP Classes are weighted at 5 points
All Honors and Advanced classes are weighted at 4.5 points unless they are CCP courses which will be weighted a 5.
All other classes are 4 points.
A Combined G.P.A. will be used to determine Honors Students
Summa Cum Laude: 4.2 + G.P.A.
Magna Cum Laude: 4.1-4.19 G.P.A.
Cum Laude: 4.01-4.09 G.P.A.
No class ranking will be done
Graduation speakers will be selected by a committee from all those Honor Students who want to apply to speak.
The GPA to determine the Honors status at graduation will be finalized at the end of the 3rd grading period. (Please note this is not a time to quit. Colleges will receive final transcripts which will include grades from the 4th nine weeks.)
