Five Students Earn Prestigious Academic All American Award

The National Speech & Debate Association has awarded Bridget Fekety, Hannah Kelly, Nicholas Krcelic, Emily Mashqbeh, and Madison Zets the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American award! This coveted award recognizes academic rigor, competitive speech and debate success, and personal excellence. From more than 141,000 student members of the National Speech & Debate Association, fewer than 1%of students earn this award each year.

Bridget Fekety will be attending Boston University, majoring in English.

Hannah Kelly will be attending The University of Akron, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Pre-Law.

Nicholas Kreclic will be attending The Ohio State University, majoring in Mathematics.

Emily Masqhbeh will be attending Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Madison Zets will be attending Kent State University, majoring in Musical Education.

The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction (750 points); completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
